Other immunizations
When it comes to disease prevention, immunizations are key. Getting vaccinated protects you and those around you. Our pharmacists are trained and knowledgeable on a variety of immunizations. We will educate on and administer the following:
- Human Papillomavirus, HPV (Gardasil®)
- Hepatitis A (Havrix®)
- Hepatitis B (Engerix-B®)
- Influenza (Fluarix®, Fluad Adjuvanted, FlucelVax [Egg-free]; Quadrivalent)
- Meningitis (Menveo®)
- Pneumonia (Pneumovax 20®, Pneumovax 23®, Prevnar 13®)
- Polio (IPOL®)

Current guidelines for COVID vaccines
The COVID vaccine may be administered without a prescription if you are over the age of 65, or if you’re under the age of 65 and have one of the following conditions putting you at risk for severe COVID. If you do not meet this criteria, we will need a prescription from your provider in order to administer the vaccine.
Conditions that increase risk for severe COVID:
- Asthma
- Cancer
- Hematologic malignancies
- Cerebrovascular disease
- Chronic kidney disease
- People receiving dialysis
- Bronchiectasis
- COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease)
- Interstitial lung disease
- Pulmonary embolism
- Pulmonary hypertension
- Cirrhosis
- Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease
- Alcoholic liver disease
- Autoimmune hepatitis
- Cystic fibrosis
- Diabetes mellitus, type 1
- Diabetes mellitus, type 2
- Gestational diabetes
- Disabilities, including Down syndrome
- Heart conditions such as heart failure, coronary artery disease, or cardiomyopathies
- HIV
- Mood disorders, including depression and schizophrenia spectrum disorders
- Neurological conditions limited to dementia and Parkinson’s disease
- Obesity (BMI ≥30 or ≥95th percentile in children)
- Physical inactivity
- Pregnancy and recent pregnancy
- Primary immunodeficiencies
- Smoking, current and former
- Solid-organ or blood stem-cell transplantation
- Tuberculosis
- Use of corticosteroids or other immunosuppressive medications
